Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Deal Intelligence LLC collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal data in connection with the Services.
Deal Intelligence LLC ("Deal Intelligence," "we," "us," or "our") is a California limited liability company. This Policy applies to the Deal Intelligence REST API, the Clay integration, the Slack routing service, the web application, and the Deal Intelligence connector for Claude and other MCP/AI clients (collectively, the "Services").
Deal Intelligence acts as a data controller with respect to account data and Event Data, and as a data processor with respect to Customer Data submitted to the Services. Inquiries may be directed to privacy@dealintelligence.io.
Definitions
Information we collect
Account and identity data. When an Authorized User registers (by email and password or by Google single sign-on), our identity provider processes the user's name, business email address, company, and authentication credentials.
Configuration data. The Customer's list of target accounts and list of competitors, provided during onboarding.
Event Data. Verified events describing buyers at a Customer's accounts engaging the Customer's competitors, comprising buyer name, job title, employer, LinkedIn URL, the competitor involved, event type, timestamp, and a confidence score. This constitutes business-contact information relating to individuals acting in a professional capacity, processed for the purpose of business-to-business sales intelligence.
Usage and technical data. API keys, IP address and device identifiers, browser type, request and access logs, timestamps, and API usage patterns.
Cookies. The web application uses cookies, as described in Section 7. The REST API and the connector for Claude do not use cookies.
How we use information
Deal Intelligence processes Personal Data to:
- detect and deliver verified competitor activity at the accounts a Customer identifies;
- deliver results through the surface a Customer selects, including the REST API, the connector for Claude, Clay, webhooks, or Slack;
- authenticate users, maintain the security of the platform, provide support, and administer billing; and
- improve detection quality using aggregated and de-identified data.
Deal Intelligence relies on the following legal bases, depending on the processing activity:
| Activity | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| B2B competitor-activity intelligence | Legitimate interest | 24 months for active leads |
| Administration of a Customer account | Contract | Contract term, plus up to 7 years for legal and tax records |
| Security and access logging | Legal obligation | 90 days |
| Marketing communications | Consent | Until consent is withdrawn |
Marketing consent may be withdrawn at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by changing account settings, or by contacting us.
Disclosure of information
Deal Intelligence does not sell Personal Data. Personal Data is disclosed only as described in this Section.
Sub-processors
Deal Intelligence engages a limited number of Sub-processors to process Customer Data on its behalf in order to operate the Services:
| Sub-processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Cloud hosting and storage (United States, us-east-1) |
| PropelAuth | Authentication and identity management |
Deal Intelligence provides 30 days' notice before adding a Sub-processor, and a Customer may object.
Customer-connected integrations
Integrations are controlled by the Customer. When a Customer connects an integration, data is transferred to or from that integration at the Customer's direction and is governed by the Customer's agreement with the relevant provider rather than by this Policy:
- CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot): pipeline records are accessed at the time of a request and are not retained by Deal Intelligence.
- Slack: applicable only where a Customer enables Slack routing.
- AI clients (Anthropic's Claude, or any MCP or REST client): when a query is made through the connector or API, the matching results are returned to the client the Customer has connected.
Legal disclosure and change of control
Deal Intelligence may disclose Personal Data where required by law, and to a successor entity in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to notice.
Data security
Deal Intelligence maintains administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, network access controls, role-based access and multi-factor authentication, audit logging, and breach-detection procedures with a 72-hour notification target where required under applicable law.
Deal Intelligence maintains a SOC 2 Type II program. Reports are available at trust.dealintelligence.io.
